Erika Nowlin
My name is Erika Nowlin and I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful school! I have worked as a substitute teacher at Child’s Way for the past two years and was thrilled when the opportunity came along to teach here full-time. My daughter Kassidy is a Child’s Way graduate and is in the first grade this year. My younger daughter, Ellie, is starting her 4th year here. I could not be happier with the love, nurturing, and education Child’s Way has offered my children for the past several years.
I have worked with children for most of my life. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas, as well as my Texas Teaching Certification, from Early Childhood through 4th grade. In addition to many years of experience in the childcare field, I also taught 1st grade in Round Rock.
For the past several years I have enjoyed my role as a stay at home mommy to my two girls, and now I am looking forward to this new adventure at Child’s Way. My goals are to encourage a love of learning, explore the world around us, and have fun!
I love to spend time outdoors with my family – taking a canoe trip on Lady Bird Lake or swimming in Barton Springs, reading lots and lots of books, seeing movies, and practicing photography.
