Pre-K Classes
Our primary goal in the Pre-K class is to make every child who enters our classroom feel confident, comfortable and excited about learning.
Each Pre-K day begins outside on the playground, weather permitting. The kids reconnect with friends, greet their teachers and enjoy some fresh air before moving indoors.
Morning Group Time follows. This portion of the day includes singing, stories, composing the “Morning Message,” a mini-lesson, or even yoga.
Center Time, the core of the Pre-K class, is next and lasts 75-90 minutes. We offer children a variety of self-selected learning centers, small-group work sessions with the teacher, or individual activities. Several choices of art activities, including process art and more structured projects, are available for children to try every day. Center Time allows for enrichment, exploration, and investigation to promote children’s growth and individual needs.
We end our day with story time, group games, or music and movement. Our students leave the classroom with happy hearts and a desire to return to school as soon as possible. Children are our absolute number one priority. We work hard to provide a nurturing, respectful and rich learning environment so that every child has an enjoyable and fulfilling year with us.
