Fall Newsletter

Welcome fall! Hopefully we’ll get some cooler weather now! The children will begin planting their gardens with fall vegetables and flowers. Please see your classroom’s newsletters for more details about garden plans.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Child’s Way is in full swing in the fight against this tragic disease. On Oct. 3,9,17, 23, and 31, we will be strutting in our passionately pink attire to show our support in the Susan G. Komen’s Breast Cancer Day’s. Each classroom will have a donation envelope, asking for contributions.  All proceeds will go to the Austin Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  The Pre-K class will feature a PINK lemonade stand with homemade cookies each week.  This event will  occur every other Thursday and Friday.  In another show of support, you can join the Child’s Way Team in the Race for a Cure to take place on Sunday, Nov.2nd.  For those interested in joining our team, please visit our website, www.childsway.com, and connect to the link provided. Thank You to Ms. Beth Benavidez, (Davis’ Mom) for organizing our Race for the Cure team once again.  Our com-mitment to this cause is in part due to the painful thought of losing special women in our lives. In the years past, we have lost two of our former Child’s Way mothers to this killer disease.

At the end of the month, we will have our Harvest parties. The younger classrooms will have a Pumpkin Patch and harvest festival in two of the classrooms.

See your classroom newsletters for more details.

The two older classrooms will take the annual field trip to Wyatt’s Nursery for an educational tour of the pumpkin patch. More fall harvest festivities are planned by the two older classes. Please check your class newsletters.
